You only get one chance on this planet that we call home. If you are lucky, you will live for, on average, seventy-five years.
That being said, when life gives you an opportunity to advance in a job, a hobby or anything that has a ranking system; you should take it. You never know what that opportunity will lead to in your life.
I currently work at Taco Bell. I have been working there for about two months. I worked there today; at the end of my shift, my manager called me into her office. I was thinking that I did something wrong and was getting scared that I would get fired from this job.
However, as it turned out, she asked me if I would like to be a shift manager. Which is crazy when you think about it?!?! I mean, I literally just started working there about two months ago and now I have the opportunity to become a manager. I told her that I would think about it and get back to her; but, I think that I will take her up on the offer. It would look really good to not only put on my resume but also it would make for a really good talking point in job interviews. I would be like, “Yeah, I got promoted after just two months of working at the job.”
So, again, I think that I will take the position. I will just need to go to a few classes and get more training. But, after that I will be a manager with a pretty significant pay raise.
