Dear Readers,

My first week of school for the spring semester has finally come to a close. I like all of my professors so far and I think that I will enjoy all of my classes. Enough of talking about my life in college and all of classes, let’s talk about anther passion of mine: books.

There are so many books published in the world, it is nearly impossible to read all of the books in your lifetime. However, I want to try to read as many books from a wide variety of authors and genres in my life. My favorite genres would have to be science fiction and young adult books. My absolute favorite book of all time would have to be: Every Day by David Levithan. Every Day had such a great story, it was about this genderless being who shifted bodies every single day ever since they were born. I believe that it was this very book that really sparked my reading habit when I was in high school. My favorite author would be Ray Bradbury because he writes so well especially in his short story collections that I love to read. I am currently reading a series called “Tiger’s Curse” and it is about an ancient Indian curse that was put on two princes which turned them into tigers for all eternity. Then, in present day, a girl named Kelsey is the chosen one to try to break the curse by going on quests in India. I am currently on book two, Tiger’s Quest, and it is amazing so far.

I am a member of Goodreads, which is a social media website solely for readers and on Goodreads there are recommendations about what you should read next based on what you have already read or put in your “To-read” shelf. I highly recommend that everyone who enjoys reading for pleasure sign up for Goodreads. It’s FREE!

All books are amazing and authors are even more amazing! The ability to create different worlds, with different stories, and have engaging characters that you love is really amazing. Amazing, Amazing, Amazing, let’s see how many times I can say “amazing” in just a couple sentences. Anyway, see you tomorrow! Keep on reading!
