Dear Readers,
As you can read from the title, today was the first major snow storm to hit the Philadelphia area where I reside. The storm started around 7-8 in the morning and continues to pour down as I write this post at 4 in the afternoon. Snow is a wonderful type of precipitation, it continues to give me joy as it did when I was younger.
When I was younger, whenever there was a huge snowstorm and I was off from school, I would go to the park with my family and ride sleds down the big hill for hours of fun. After sliding down the hill for hours, we would just play in the snow for the next couple of hours. After all said and done, we would go back to the house and have some warm hot chocolate and maybe some s’mores in the microwave.
Fast forward to the present day, when I am 19 years old, I pretty much just relax in my pajamas and read a nice book on a snow day. I still enjoy sipping hot chocolate out of a mug with marshmallows but I rarely go to the park and slide down the snow covered hills anymore. I really wish that I would go back to the park some day and relive some of the best memories that I had as a child.
To reiterate, snow is the best type of precipitation in the world because it brings me so much joy no matter what part of my life I am in currently.
