Dear Readers,
I want to learn to play a musical instrument after I finish the Music Theory class that I am taking this semester. I want to apply what I am going to learn in this class to an actual instrument. I am going to start by learning to play the piano, because that is what my professor uses to model some of the material that he teaches. Eventually, once I somewhat master the piano, I want to learn how to play the guitar. My roommate knows how to play the guitar and I love the fact that he can just pick up his guitar and start to play a song.
The ability to make music with an instrument fascinates me. I used to play the trumpet back in fourth grade, but I stopped after 4th grade and never relearned again. I want to recapture that knowledge and learn the trumpet after I learn the piano and guitar. And it would have all started from a simple music class in college.
