5/16/2017 | A Blog-Post Everyday | Motherboard Failure

Dear Readers,

Today was the day when I finally took my motherboard to C.P.S Computers in my home town to get it professionally diagnosed. The results were sad. They called me up about four hours after I dropped off the board and told me that the board was fried and not recoverable. They also told me that the CPU was compromised as well.

However, they said that they have deals on motherboard and Core I3 processors with a 5 year warranty available in their shop. So, I am going to go back on Thursday to pay them the diagnosis fee and check out the alternate motherboard and CPU. If all goes well on Thursday, I would finally have a working desktop again!

Cross your fingers! Here is the joke of the day:

While trying to diagnose a problem over the phone I told the user to type out his autoexec.bat file. He said it said “File not found”. I told him to do a dir. I asked him if he saw autoexec.bat listed. He said, “Well it says autoexec, then there’s some spaces, but no dot, and then it says bat.” I said type this in “type autoexec.bat”. Again he got “File not found”. I asked him to tell me exactly what he typed. He said, “I typed just what you told me: `type autoexecdotbat’.

Anyway, I hope that you had a great day and I will see you tomorrow!
